OHSU Health Care Equity Fair - Period products and Reproductive Health Resources

We will be providing period products and reproductive health resources/education at the annual Health Care Equity Fair (HCEF), which will take place on 10/1/23 at Pioneer Square in Portland, OR. HCEF is an annual student-run fair providing free health care, social services, and supplies for Portland’s marginalized and underserved. The fair provides services such as free vision screening from Casey Eye Institute, diabetic care, dental screening, HIV health information, skin screening, signing people up for Medicare/Medicaid, shower stalls, foot baths, vaccines, and more. Virginia Garcia Health and Resource Fair

In celebration of National Community Health Center Week, we will be providing period products and period health education to people at the Cornelius Wellness Center on 8/11/23 at the Virginia Garcia Health and Resource Fair! Come and explore different community resources, enjoy fun kid activities, OHP assistance, and free prize drawings!

Virginia Garcia Outreach Camp Support Mobile Clinic

This Summer (6/13-8/22 of 2023), we provided 1,200+ period kits and countless hours of period health education at the Virginia Garcia's Migrant Outreach Clinic, which reaches the most vulnerable and underserved in our state focusing on the migrant and seasonal farm workers and their families. The mobile clinic provides medical and dental services, eye exams, mental health services, COVID-19 testing, and vaccines. A wide variety of resources and services are available to the patients such as Oregon Food Bank and OHP guidance, legal information, workers' safety/rights, and pesticide exposure and safety.

Period-Pack Assembly Party!

Twenty-three incredible volunteers came together to help assemble 565 Period Packs that will be distributed this summer to those at high risk of menstrual poverty. You can find all the deets in our IG account!

Period Product Donation Drive in PDX!

Donation bins have been placed in 20 locations around Portland, OR from May 8-28. All period products are welcome including disposable and cloth pads, tampons, cups/discs, and panty liners!
